Your plan can be changed at any time from the client dashboard. We work out the price difference automatically, pro rata, from the days left in your billing cycle.
Upgrading
- Sign in to your client dashboard.
- Go to the active service and choose "Upgrade Plan".
- Select the plan you want, check the prorated price, then pay by M-Pesa.
- Within minutes the upgrade takes effect, with no downtime and nothing to migrate.
Downgrading
The steps are the same; just choose a smaller plan. Note: if you are using more than the smaller plan allows (say 12 GB of files when the new plan has 10 GB), tidy up first. The upgrade screen will warn you when that is the case.
Signs it is time to upgrade
- You have used more than 80% of your plan's disk space.
- "Resource limit exceeded" errors appear when traffic spikes.
- A second site you want to add will not fit on the current plan.
- You would like LiteSpeed cache acceleration, which comes with the Business tier and above.
Going to VPS or Managed WordPress
Because VPS and Managed WordPress run on different infrastructure, moving there from shared hosting means a full migration. It is still free; our team arranges it, and it takes a few hours.
